Welcome to Wouldham, a small village on the south bank of
the River Medway between Rochester and Maidstone in
England.
Wouldham is probably best known for one of its past residents,
Walter Burke, who was the Purser aboard HMS Victory during
the Battle of Trafalgar, and is famously portrayed cradling
Admiral Lord Nelson in his last dying moments. Walter is now
at rest in All Saints church in Wouldham.
I am regularly adding content to the site so please come back
to see what is new.
I have now added archive pages for previous council minutes

Construction work for the development of the Medway Valley river crossing by Trenport has
been delayed because no formal agreement has been reached about access rights, therefore
no building work will take place . If you want to know more visit their website. I cannot link you
or give more information as I was threatened with legal action for doing so before!!!
